Throughout this course, the chapters (new chapters posted every two days) will consistently push us out of our comfort zones. So, I invite you to BRAVELY, do at least the above or otherwise, this course will not work for you! Let me start by quoting this, “Use your comfort zone to rest and NOT to work in.” Please take time to digest this quote. “Use your comfort zone to rest and NOT to work in.” It had meant a lot to me.
Chapter 1
I Don’t Know When I Will Die.
Have you ever had a near death experience? For me, I am glad that it never happened to me. And I hope it never happened to any of you. For that, we all should be thankful. Death, recently had given me a whole new meaning of life. Just 2 months ago, I bumped into an old friend of mine. She looks wonderful, energetic and the way she talks is so powerful. But after a while talking to her, I found that she was diagnosed with throat cancer. I was completely fooled by her appearance. How can a person knowing that she is going to die still looks so wonderful, energetic and alive! But then, I learnt that she had been lying on the bed stunted for months when she first found out the life threatening disease. Then one day, something just strikes her.
She realized that she had so many things that she had not accomplished in her life. So many things that she had promised herself to do and yet never been done. So many things that she wanted to share with her friends and family, had yet been shared. She felt so empty! She then decided to take charge! She then just changed!! Despite her illness, she had decided to live to the fullest.
It’s only 2 months ago when she actually decided to take charge of her life and fight the disease. And today she has been achieving more goals than she ever did! She created a special bond with family which she never did in years! This conversation had triggered me think a lot about my death!
I asked myself, “What if I die tomorrow? What if I was ran over by a car later when I cross the road? Will I regret if I just died?”
Yes, You Bet I will! There are simply too many things that had I promised myself to do, but had yet been done! I haven’t had any accredited achievement in my whole life. I should have spent so many more wonderful times with my family. I had planned to do great things when I am on the “peak” day but when the time comes to make the so called great things to reality, I had always procrastinated. I had always given excuses to myself. “I will do it tomorrow! Don’t worry! I will get it done next week!” And perhaps even next year! But what If I die tomorrow?! When can you achieve the goals then?
So let’s ask that simple question to yourself! Please take some time to really think about these questions. These questions had inspired me to go out there to rethink about what I had promised myself. I knew I had set all these goals that WILL benefit MYSELF long time ago. It seems that I had not being loving myself enough up till the day I met my friend! For that, I am really grateful to her. I wish her well and continue to achieve what she had set for herself. I also welcome you to join me and take charge of your life and make a list of things that you had locked away in the past. It’s time to bring them out and ticking them off by making them a reality!!
Here the challenge today! List out things that you wish to achieve with the deadline following each goal and send it to me and I will keep track of them for you. I will push you to do whatever it takes to achieve those goals. Upon receiving yours, I will forward mine to you and you can check on mine. We will achieve our goals together!! Take Charge!! Happy achieving!! Hear from you soon! Please send to jaysyd@hotmail.com.
