Phrase 2: Being the Person you Want to be!

I attended a coach training yesterday down here in Singapore. Guess what I learnt? Haha.. its exactly what I shared in the previous chapter! Being the Person you want to BE!! I came across a trance skill, known as the ‘New Behavioural Generation’. How this thing work is firstly, you got to choose a person who you wanna be and be that person!! Just like that.. simple! Isn’t it? You wish!! There are things that you need to do to yourself, help yourself, train yourself, feel yourself to make that transformation!! Yes, That’s right… But the important is, it works!!In the Training, A coach was ask to talk in front of a large crowd and she had failed to performed as expected. She didn’t know what to talk about and felt shy and felt lacking of confidences. The Head coach, had used the trance to help her get all the resources that she need to perform greatly on the stage! How is the trance done?! I will jot in point form below,
1) Feel the way you are feeling when you are feeling unconfident.
2) Disassociate yourself from the “unconfident” you and look at her. (imagine you are looking another you)
3) Now start feeling what resourses you want to give the the “unconfident” you. Think what you need for you to speak confidently. Give it to that “unconfident” you!! Think how clearly you would be able to perform smoothly. Give it to that you!!
4) Feel the way now that you are be able to do all the things you want to do, confident, smoothly and clearly!!
All these steps are to be done in trance mode!! It can also be done in your mind! Yet just know this, the more in trance you are in, the more you will be able to be the person you want to be! You will be able to fill in all the good resources into you which, you knew all along what you really need in order for you to be confident enough to speak in front of the group. Yes, that’s right!!
The main point I want to share is that, when you vividly imagine yourself doing what you are afraid of doing, you will experience the fear in you. While you think about what you can do with the fear, and imagining things that you need to do to improve that situation, you are subconciously facing that fear. Yes, that’s right! All this thinking within yourself are trancing. And the more vividly you imagine the fear and how you handled the situation in the trance mode, the more you will conquer the lack of confidence issue!! Yes, That’s right!!
So I invite you again to always be the person you want to be and communicate with him in the trance mode! Things I had experienced is so unpredictable yet amazingly true!! Give it a go!! Only you can help you thru this trance training! Experience it and be a better, more confident and resourseful person today!!
